The first Al-Othaim snow concept to open in Egypt welcomed some high-ranking dignitaries to its official opening on July 1.
Snow City is the Saudi company’s fifth venture in Egypt and only its second snow-themed venue in its entire operation. Snow city is a E£500m investment covering 60,000sq.ft and is located in the Citystars Mall in the Egyptian capital.
The Saudi Arabian ambassador, Sir Osama Noqaly, headed the guest list, along with Abdullah Saleh Al-Othaim, chairman, Fahad Abdullah Al-Othaim, vice-chairman and CEO of Al-Othaim Leisure and Tourism, members of the board and location managers from Egypt.
Temperatures in the new location reach -5 degrees Celsius and the snow is made from pure water using the latest international specifications and French technology to create. Visitors can enjoy a real snow environment all year around.
Fahad Al-Othaim, speaking to guests, expressed his satisfaction at the opening of the latest leisure project in Egypt, which comes as part of the expansion programme undertaken by the company. He referred to the positive investment climate in Egypt and the feasibility of all types of investment, given the country’s positive political stance to this type of venture, its highly-developed infrastructure and high population.
The group, he said, expected a bright future for the leisure and tourism industry in the Middle East, as the sector was viewed as attractive for local and foreign investors.
