The new Nakheel Mall at the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai is the latest location for one of Al Othaim Leisure’s Fabyland FECs.
The Saudi group took its futuristic brand to the UAE for the eighth time with the opening, which is on the second level of the mall and covers 40,000sq.ft.
Fahad Al Othaim, vice chairman of the group, said: “This is the city’s newest entertainment centre and must-visit family destination offering a latest gaming experience with a wide variety of rides and games for children of all age groups. With this facility, we unveiled a new level of entertainment and celebration in the city for families, friends and children to experience unlimited fun with games, rides, MyTown edutainment area, birthday party room, interactive climbing walls, trampolines, simulator games, virtual reality, carnival games and soft play.
“The facility comes under the framework of Al Othaim Group’s plan to expand leisure projects outside the KSA. We are increasing our investment in the sector across different countries in MENA region. Our vision is to offer an experience of leisure combined with fitness and recreational options to families. We have set up a 'futuristic' ambience at the facility featuring latest technology-based experiences with a wide range of thrilling rides and attractions for all age groups,” he added.
The first Othaim Fabyland location was set up in Abu Dhabi’s Deerfields Mall in 2015 and represented the company’s first move outside Saudi Arabia. That was followed by a new venue in Dubai Festival City in 2016, then another early in 2019 in Dragon Mart-2 in Dubai.
The Nakheel Mall location includes climbing walls, a Drift Race, Cyber Fox, Wave Rider, bumper cars, an F1 simulator and other rides and attractions. There is a trampoline park and a soft play structure.
