Andrew Oram is the new CEO of World Bowling, the international governing body of the tenpin bowling industry. Oram is a former professional athlete and sports broadcaster working in TV with international federations of Olympic sports, in Switzerland.
Sheikh Talal Mohammed Al-Sabah, president of World Bowling, said: “Andrew brings a diverse set of skills and experience in the commercial and media sectors of high-performance sport.”
Said Oram: “I have been impressed by the level of passion and commitment shown by all of the athletes and their member federations in showcasing the sport of bowling.”
World Bowling is the umbrella organisation representing 114 national federations. Bowling is played in the Asian Games, Pan-American Games and the World Games.
