The move, which will initially focus on the district of Nadogo, could benefit the wider amusement and attraction industry and is part of a key strategy of the Government's tourism development plan.

Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya said he hoped to promote adventure tourism offerings in the country. "These would also showcase other areas of the country outside the main tourism hot spots.

"The plans are also known as Fijian Tourism 2021, to diversify our tourism market beyond the traditional sun, sand and sea for which we are famously known for," he said.
