The City of Yiwu in China has drafted a supervisory work plan for amusement game machine management and plans to promote the effectiveness step by step.

Running until the end of this month, the plan will involve certain regions with only 20 quotas of amusement allowed to establish within the region.

Each establishment must adhere to the "orderly access, effective management, control development" principal and the "open, fair and just" principal, meaning operators must abide by certain rules.

Sites must not be set up within 200m of schools or residential areas and must be at least 100m from other amusement machine sites. Operators must also ensure the quality and safety of all the machines and game consoles and machines must be sited in strict accordance with the size of the space, which must be clearly zoned.

Machines in operation must also be provided by legitimate manufacturers and can include simulators, dance machines, touchscreen games, redemption machines, coin pushers and so on.

Any machine considered a gambling machine would not be operated within this area - neither would anything containing a sexual theme or that infringes copyright.
