The new IMG World of Adventures theme park was due to open today in Dubai, but the opening has been rescheduled for August 31.

The location will be the world’s largest indoor theme park or family entertainment centre when it does open. The park is adjusting its "fine tuning," say the operators, who have honoured the purchased tickets for the opening and added a fast track pass for priority on rides and attractions to those who bought their tickets in advance.

The project covers 1.5 million square feet and has four zones: Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard. It is scheduled to open for 12 hours a day during the week and 14 hours at weekend and hopes to attract 4.5 million visitors in its first year.
