OpenBet has won a contract to supply PGI and its subsidiary IEST with fixed odds games for terminals to be deployed in PAGCOR’s entertainment venues throughout the Philippines.

The sportsbook and online gaming software supplier will provide games to the Instawin terminals, with 60 games already live in existing PAGCOR outlets. Each terminal, provided by IEST, will be connected to the internet. PGI aims to have more than 500 terminals featuring OpenBet content live by the end of 2012, with additional terminals planned for deployment later.

“The Asian market is a fast growing, important market with an ever-evolving regulatory environment,” said David Loveday, CEO of OpenBet. “This supplier agreement gives us a first-mover advantage with one of the Philippines’ early licence holders. As the gaming industry in this region develops and grows, so too will OpenBet through this key partnership with PGI.”

Carl Wahlin, director and business development manager at PGI, said it was “imperative” that the company worked with a supplier that understood the “legal boundaries,” particularly in a jurisdiction where regulation is at an early stage.

“When choosing a partner to supply our Instawin fixed odds games, OpenBet was the natural choice,” he added.
