There is now a joint venture agreement in place for its operation between Unlimited Snow and the Al Jarwani Group as operators of the 5,600 square metre winter project. Unlimited Snow’s CEO Kees Albers was presented with an award for the Best Foreign Design of Indoor Snow/Ice Park at the WSTOPS winter sports awards in China in August.

Albers has now forged a 10-year operating deal with Al Jarwani and hopes to franchise the snow park to other parts of the world.

The park was originally due to open in 2017, but was delayed initially to end-2018 and now is firmly set for spring of 2019. It will be situated on the third floor of the mall and will contain 21 rides and attractions, with climbing walls, snow mobiles, ice carousel, bumper cars and other features.
