Oman: a rival for Dubai

There are other treasures to be found in the Middle East, writes David Snook.

It was a Dutch machine supplier, Raci van Dijk, who introduced me to the notion of Muscat. Van Dijk was with Eurocoin 30 years ago and a notable AWP supplier. She was on a flight to Dubai and by coincidence I was too. It turned out, however, that she was not staying in Dubai but was going on to Muscat for a holiday with her husband, Jac.
