The shop offers an enhanced shopping experience for redeeming tickets. The newly refurbished location has excited a big social media response in the local area, said Timezone New Zealand CEO Gary Walker, who reported that the shop is typical of those across the brand in other countries.

Timezone is an operating brand of TEEG, the Entertainment and Education Group, whose CEO Sonaal Chopra said: “The New Zealand venue is our first ‘new Timezone’ experience in the country and we are very encouraged by the feedback that we have received."

Courtenay Place is the first Timezone in Wellington since 2010. The newly redesigned and refurbished location has up to 10 new team members. The venue is at 60 Courtenay Place, an historic location as it is the former home of the Wellington Gas Company, a late-Victorian building designed by famous architect Thomas Turnbull.

TEEG is a joint venture between Quadrant Private Equity and LAI Group, founded by Malcolm Steinberg in 1978 to become the leading FEC brand in the Asia Pacific region. There are now over 200 Timezones in seven countries, including 25 in India.
