The organisers of the EAG Expo 2011, held at the London Docklands last week, have released official visitor numbers which saw an overall increase of nine per cent on the first show last year.
The total number of visitors across the three days came to over 5,600 with a 60/40 split between UK and international visitors. The number of BACTA members who attended also increased by 37 per cent, reflecting a possible increased faith in the industry and support for the show. International visitor numbers increased by three per cent and UK visitors increased by 11 per cent.
Sound Leisure’s Chris Black was quoted saying: "EAG 2011 has been the best show I can remember. We’ve taken a lot of orders and seen the right people. We’ll definitely be back next year."
And one of EAG’s newest exhibitors, Martin Richardson of Churchfayre, said: "This is the first time we’ve exhibited at the show - the venue is perfect, the organisation very good and it’s been very profitable for us."
Finally Martin Burlin, chairman of EAG Expo, concluded: "For such a young event to deliver such a strong performance in today’s economic climate really is impressive and bodes well for the future. I’d like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and continued commitment to EAG and we look forward to seeing you again next year."
