In the US, MEI bill validators will now come as standard with all NSM Music’s digital downloading jukeboxes.
According to the jukebox manufacturer, it had previously used bill acceptors from another manufacturer but found that servicing costs and inferior performance had been a sticking point for potential customers.
“We had several multi-unit bar owners who each purchased one of our digital downloading jukebox models,” explained Bob Cooney, senior vice president of NSM Music in the US. “When I personally followed up with them to see why they had not purchased additional units, I was told flatly that the inferior bill acceptors we were using were causing them too many service issues in their bars.”
Chris Felix, national amusement OEM manager at MEI, explained that his company had a product that was compatible with NSM’s jukeboxes and offered greater reliability and a lower overall cost of ownership.
“NSM and its customers should expect to see an immediate increase in cashbox earnings while at the same time saving more through dramatically reduced service calls,” he said.
