Sound Leisure has sold its first New Yorker free-standing jukebox into Northern Ireland.

Colin Leitch of SKC Gaming, based in Larne, sited the eye-catching jukebox alongside a Sound Leisure V-Hub model last week. “This particular site hasn’t had a jukebox before and we wanted to give them the best boxes available to get them off to a running start,” he said.

“The site is split into three different bars - a small bar in the front that has no music at all, the middle bar, where the New Yorker is sited, which is more of a lounge and restaurant area, and the ‘Back Shed’ bar, which has the video V-Hub and where most of the entertainment takes place.”

“We already have quite a number of V-Hubs; this has now become our standard issue jukebox because it performs so well. One of the main reasons we chose the New Yorker is because we felt it would suit the décor of the bar. We wanted the jukebox to make a real visual impact on site and it definitely does that.”

The machines have only been on site for a week but Leitch confirms that their performance has been extremely promising. “The customers absolutely love the two jukeboxes, especially the New Yorker. The bar staff have told me they are always receiving comments about how good the machine looks. Customers seem to be more than happy with the choice of music, especially the on-demand tracks on the V-Hub.”
