The VR Concept is set to become the first social VR arcade in London’s Zone 1, located in Gameboxx, an entertainment space in Elephant and Castle.
Guests will be able to choose from an assortment of social VR games, including an industry first inter-pub gaming league that allows up to four players to play individually or co-operatively against other participants across locations in their gaming network.
The multiplayer VR arcade will share an opening day with Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One that hits cinemas ahead of the Easter weekend and focuses on a VR world.
The arcade is offering a 25 per cent discount for the month after Ready Player One’s release if the customer can present their cinema ticket.
Anthony Nixon, director and co-founder of The VR Concept, said: “This is our first and only Zone 1 location, and we’re aiming to maintain a strong presence within Elephant and Castle, which is showing a significant amount of investment in building and infrastructure for the local area and people.”
