Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall has become the home to the newest KidZania location.
In partnership with Emaar Entertainment, the latest interactive “city” specially designed for children celebrated its Foundation Day with a special ceremony.
Hosted by a local radio personality, the extravagant formalities highlighted the contribution of KidZania to developing an authentic entertainment and learning environment for children, families and schools.
Special music and dance performances, anthems and flag raising took place during the celebrations. There was also a ritual lighting of the Eternal Spirit monument, a rotating bronze globe sculpture, resting on a large size replica of KidZania’s National seal, designed to represent KidZania’s “eternal spirit” and demonstrate its global reach.
Those present at the ceremony included members from central government, many KidZania “States” (locations) local business, marketing and industry partners, as well as Emaar Entertainment representatives.
Spanning over 55,000sq.ft, KidZania Abu Dhabi is a scaled-down replica of a bustling city with over 60 role-playing activities of real-life professions specially designed for children aged two to 14. Kids learn about various professions in a fun, interactive manner, helping them to develop decision-making, teamwork, creativity and social skills.
