Timezone has opened a new FEC in India at the Korum Mall, Thane, Mumbai, making it, its 11th location nationwide.

The CEO of Timezone India said it will launch another four stores by June of this year, including one flagship store of 15,000sq.ft in Pune city.

Korum Mall in Mumbai is a well-established mall with a strong retail mix, a popular food court and cinemas right next to the Timezone FEC, which includes a variety of attractions such as bumper cars, Big Sweet Land and a mini helicopter ride.

The redemption prize counter at the location aims at securing the most fashionable merchandise to ensure customers get the desired value from their visit. The new location has also held events such as Children’s Day Special and a Slam n Jam basketball tournament, sponsored by Airtel, India’s leading telecom player.

In other Timezone news, the final round of the jubeat knit Asia Four competition 2010 was hosted by Timezone Singapore on December 19 at the Timezone TZ-Active location.

Manufactured by Konami, jubeat knit is one of its Bemani series of music games and it features 16 buttons in a 4x4 grid, which players press according to the songs.

The champion from each country received a return air ticket and accommodation to Japan to participate in the AOU 2011 event, a crystal trophy, a jubeat knit soundtrack and an iPod touch.
