A new resort featuring an FEC is being considered by the City Council in Manteca, California, US.
The plans propose a 510,000sq.ft facility consisting of a 500 room hotel, a family entertainment centre, a restaurant/food court and a 100,000sq.ft water park.
Manteca’s Planning Commission is set this week to hold a public hearing on an agreement with Great Wolf Resorts which operates indoor water parks in North America.
If approved, construction is projected to begin this summer, with a two-year construction period and opening around Q2 2020
It is hoped that the project will create an estimated 1,500 construction jobs and 500 permanent resort jobs providing nearly US$20m per year of payroll.
