An Italian esports company, Team Qlash, will host a pinball tournament, the Italian Pinball Championship, at its headquarters in Villorba, Treviso, on the weekend of June 23-24.

New pinball tournament for Italy

The event is being organised by the Italian arm of the International Flipper Pinball Association with the support of pinball manufacturers Stern Pinball, Tecnoplay and Double Pinball.

There will also be a virtual pinball tournament in which players will compete using tablets.

Luca Pagano, co-owner of Team Qlash and a pioneer of esports in Italy, said: "We are sure that the interaction between these two worlds of pinball and video games will have fantastic results. Certainly, we will have an event guided by fun, which is a fundamental value for Team Qlash and IFPA."

Registration for the tournament will open on April 2 and will be restricted to 64 players with the event deciding IFPA’s Italian Pinball Champion 2018.
