Qatari-based Aura Lifestyle Group, owner of the Kidzmondo adult-play park for children in Doha and the Megapolis indoor theme park, has appointed former general manager Charbel Mhanna as its new CEO.
As general manager, Mhanna handled Aura Hospitality Food and Services and Aura Entertainment.
He now plans to accelerate the group’s expansion in the region, which until now has been mostly based upon specialist food and beverage outlets.
Mhanna has 25 years’ experience over several market segments but including hospitality leisure and entertainment. Although it was only founded in 2012, Aura opened 42 new outlets in Qatar in 2016 alone, in prestige locations, including the Mall of Qatar, The Pearl and Ezdan Towers. It is planning another five outlets in the next two months. Its high technology Megapolis, the largest indoor entertainment centre in the country, was only opened in March of last year.
