Another Magic Planet family entertainment centre is nearing completion, this one in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

The location is part of a AED260m (€60m) redevelopment of the City Centre shopping mall in Sharjah. The work is being carried out by Magic Planet’s parent company, development giant Majid Al Futtaim.
The Magic Planet subsidiary, MAF Leisure, operates industry-leading FECs all over the Middle East, with the new Sharjah location on its doorstep - the company is based in Dubai.
City Centre Sharjah is reported to be 75 per cent competed and will also contain a VOX Cinema with 12 screens and a separate children’s cinema.
The development is part of Al Futtaim’s planned AED30bn (€6.9bn) investment plan for the UAE by 2016, including 10 new malls, 28 cinemas and 40 Carrefour hypermarkets by the end of 2020.
