Former Euro Disney president Philippe Gas has been appointed CEO of the Qiddiya Investment Company in Saudi Arabia.
Qiddiya is the vast new entertainment complex that is being built in the desert south of the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Gas, recently managing director of Walt Disney Attractions Japan and Disneyland International, replaces the founding CEO of Qiddiya, Michael Reininger.
He had 30 years with Disney in various top-level capacities and is a French citizen. Gas said: “Qiddiya is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to develop an unforgettable offering that will transform entertainment for an entire region and create cherished memories for current and future generations.”
