The Eastern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has earmarked two sites for the development of FECs.

A 2.7 acre site in the city of the Visakhapatnam and 3.72 acre plot land in Tirupati have both been given the go-ahead by the state cabinet.
SPI Cinemas is the recipient of the leases in the projects, and in the Tirupati development there will feature a 23,000sq.ft convention centre along with a food court, commercial complex, six multiplex screens and three hotels. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation will bear the initial expenditure and take it up as a tourism project
