Tim Murphy has been appointed CEO of APX Operating Company as it concludes the acquisition of amusement parks and FECs across the US from Apex Parks Group. Murphy is joined by a new CFO in Kevin Littlejohn.

The newly-enlarged APX will be no challenge to Murphy, who has over 30 years of experience in leading entertainment companies, serving on several leading businesses in top-executive roles. They include Rebounderz Family Entertainment Centers, Coney Parks, Happy City and Yu Kids in Latin America.
Murphy was also COO and CFO for 23 Jimmy John’s restaurants in Chicago and CFO of 153 Sonny’s BBQ restaurants. He was also CFGO of Specialty Restaurant Development, the brand behind 15 Applebee’s, four Green Hill Grilles and three Rays on the River restaurants.
Littlejohn has 35 years’ experience in finance and operations in several industries, recently with Guardia LLC as CFO and Esquire Deposition Solutions in a similar role.
Said Murphy: “I look forward to hitting the ground running as my new colleagues and I work to provide outstanding experiences for our guests with a focus on ensuring the health and safety of guests, team members and communities in which we operate. APX has a bright future ahead and our team is ready to welcome families tour premier entertainment parks.”
The deal with Apex Parks Group incudes several Boomers! Locations, plus a water park. Eight of the current APX locations remain closed through the pandemic, but one of the new acquisitions, Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park in Florida was able to reopen last week.
