An entertainment destination in Glasgow has reached the short-list of finalists for two major awards.

The Quay at Springfield Quay is on the list of Scottish Hosptiality Awards and is short-listed in the Entertainment Complex of the Year category and the Best Entertainment Team for its Hollywood Bowl.

The park is also nominated in two categories in the Scottish Entertainment Awards, for the Best Family Day Out and the Best Experience Day.

A bowling centre with amusements and retail will be opened in Lincoln’s High Street following the approval of plans by the city council. The site has been abandoned for five years after Boots moved out.

Now Crown Alderney has applied for permission to open a Lane 7 venue over three storeys with retail at ground floor, bowling on the first floor and a bar.

A one-time theme park in Cleethorpes could become a £65m holiday resort after the Environment Agency withdrew flooding objectioins to what was the site of Pleasure Island. A consortium was to build 272 holiday lodges and two hotels on the land. The park closed in 2016.
