There is more leisure in staying cool indoors in Dubai this year than ever before, reports the Media Office of the Dubai Government.

Many of the top hotels in the emirate are encouraging “staycations” that beat the searing temperatures, including the One&Only Royal Mirage, Anantara The Palm, Atlantis, Caesars Palace Bluewaters and others.
It is also citing an increased list of water parks as an alternative, such as Aquaventure, Wild Wadi and the new Laguna at La Mer, and there are indoor parks at Hub Zero or Green Planet at City Walk. The latter is home to 3,000 plants and animals and offers The Sloth Encounter, The Bat Cave, the Sugar Glider Encounter and the new Australian Walkabout. At Atlantis The Palm there is a sea lion discovery programme and at the other end of the temperature spectrum there is Ski Dubai.
A festival is taking place called Dubai Summer Surprises, which offers six weeks of shopping, entertainment and eating, with discounts on over 300 brands at 3,500 outlets.
Other indoor experiences include the 3D blacklight Mini-Golf Dubai and ScreenX at Reel Cinemas in the Dubai Mall that has a 270-degree screen. There are big discounts on the 90-minute shows at La Perle and the VR Park is also highlighted at The Dubai Mall.
