Four new rides, including a drop tower and a Ferris wheel, are planned for 2019, which will be the latest round of additions. The site added a small roller coaster and zip line in 2016, which cost $5m, and $1m was sunk into remodeling the centre's two miniature golf courses. Go-karts, bowling, an arcade, bumper cars, bumper boats and a rock wall, are among the other attractions.

Rick Iceberg, owner and partner at CJ Barrymore's, told the Detroit Free Press: "We're taking it up a notch from your normal family entertainment centre. We're pretty excited."

Iceberg also said there are further plans in the pipeline for the next five to 10 years but declined to comment further.

"We're always working on stuff, always looking at four to five different projects," he said. "Our industry is changing. You have to keep changing or you're going to die."

He revealed that the new rides are drawing in guests from further afield and, as a result of the ongoing investment, visitor numbers are up 25 per cent. Iceberg said costs for the centre's current attractions will not go up and a few may see a slight price drop because of how popular they are. He said the centre is working on pricing for the new planned attractions.
