The year for the Belgian coastal arcades and FECs will not be one of their most successful, Belgian operators report to InterGame.

The effects of the pandemic, closing them down from March until July 1, had been the principal factor, especially as they are still held back by stringent health and safety protocols.
A similar picture is reported from the Belgian and French travelling fairgrounds, where coin-operated games are a major contributor. They have only just been permitted to restart their travels from September 1 in Belgium.
In France the picture is slightly better for the travelling fairs and the coastal arcades, where they caught most of the high season. Some operators even report an increase in revenue in the first half of July compared with 2019.
