Merkur Casino has opened an entertainment centre in the southern Spanish city of Malaga under the brand name Merkur Salon de Juego.
The official opening will be held at the beginning of October. The casino-styled arcade covers 800sq.m and offers a state-of-the-art product portfolio with more than 70 playing positions, including two multi-position roulette tables and the most up-to-date jackpot equipment.
Salon de Juego will be the first entertainment centre in Spain to be able to present the newest and most modern product series from Merkur Gaming - Merkur Unlimited.
Rolf Falke, managing director of Merkur Casino, commented: "The Spanish market gives us all the opportunities necessary to use our unique all-round competencies as a game maker."
Before this move, Merkur Casino was solely present in the city of Granada. "The Spanish market has real future potential which we truly believe in," added country manager Isabel Roman Garcia."The positive legal situation in the autonomous region of Andalusia particularly offers incentives for further investment."
