One international company trying to break further into the Greek market with its Megatouch product is US-based Merit Entertainment.

Speaking at the GameNet exhibition, held in Athens, Greece, last week, Javier Lanfranchi told InterGame: "Everyone is aware of the Megatouch product, but there is still room for improvement and we could be competing better with more established companies.

"But interest in the product is continuing to grow and the Aurora with its 19ins screen is helping this as it is something unique to the Greek market."

Commenting on the Greek market and legislation issues, Lanfranchi added: "The legality of machines is still a grey area but companies are still selling and operators are still buying.

"The Greeks are very family orientated, therefore games must have strong content, which is suitable for everyone to enjoy. This is different to other countries where you get more hardcore players."
