FOLLOWING a passion into the unknown and making a career out of it is a pipe dream for many, a risky venture with too much at stake. Bogumił Jankiewicz of Warsaw-based electronic entertainment park Discovr and hardware developer Gamenastix, however, was too enamoured with the possibilities that modern tech offered to do anything but find out what was beyond his recently-broadened horizons.

“Everything started when I was introduced to virtual reality: I was excited by the potential,” he said. “I was giving a lecture at a branding forum and I noticed a vehicle – I didn’t know what it was but, when I finished my lecture, the guy that was operating it offered to show me what he was doing. He gave me VR goggles and he showed me a video that they had produced a week before. I was left speechless – I was amazed with this new technology.
