Mario Kart Arcade GP has proved itself to be the most successful driving game in BANDAI NAMCO’s history.

Licensed by Nintendo, the driving game continues to be the number one in terms of income generation in US arcades, as well as other regions of the world.

“This game has turned out to be a brilliant investment for our customers as revenues continue to be at the highest levels month after month,” said Steve Ignarski, sales manager BNAA. “It is the combination of an evergreen licence and fantastic gameplay that keeps players flocking to the game. The current production run is oversold so we are having to plan further productions of the title to keep up with demand.”

Mario Kart Arcade GP features a rainbow LED-lit cabinet and a 42ins HD monitor. The popular Nam-Cam feature that places the player’s face over the kart has been updated with “Funny Face Frames” where players can stretch, squeeze and transform their faces into many different appearances.

Mario Kart Arcade GP is linkable up to four cabinets and the game has three game modes: grand prix, versus and co-op. In grand prix mode, players can compete through 40 rounds over five selectable cups. Versus mode offers competitive racing excitement while the new two-Person co-op mode features “Fusion Karts.” One person drives while the other shoots other competitors. Teamwork is the key to victory in this game.

With over 20 types of karts that can specifically trigger over 90 types of items, the racing possibilities of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX are endless.
