Responding to the need to implement cashless solutions, Alexandra Gardens, the 150-machine arcade at Weymouth, UK, has installed the Semnox Parfait cashless arcade system.
The venue also uses the Parafait Gift Inventory and Redemption module so that self-service is encouraged. Four Parafait Klassic self-service kiosks are on the floor to assist. Through the kiosks, players can buy new cards, top-up existing cards, register, and check balances among other features.
Charles Holland, owner of the arcade, said: “We decided to go cashless at one of our locations during the lockdown and are happy with the result. The project was delivered on time, even though our set-up is not the easiest. We wanted players to have the option of using cards or coins and the ability to switch between paper and electronic tickets.”
Vinayaka Kamath, business head Middle East and Europe for Semnox, said: “It was a challenging project for us, because we could not travel for implementation and training, but in the end it all went smoothly, thanks to the technical team at the Alexandra Gardens.”
Now the venue plans to introduce more value-added features from Semnox, such as the SmartFun app, online booking, digital signage, reporting dashboard and more.
