The new location marks the operator’s sixth complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the first to operate in the Eastern Province.

With a capacity to seat over 900 guests, the cinema features a total of six screens; four standard, one Max, which combines the latest surround sound technology with a 20m wide screen and one Kids, a family-friendly concept complete with brightly coloured interiors and adjoining party rooms. It will also include Vox Cinemas’ popular candy bar serving guests snacks as well as a wide selection of hot food.

Mohammed Al Hashemi, country manager, Saudi Arabia at Majid Al Futtaim Ventures said: “Residents will no longer have to go to great lengths to enjoy quality entertainment, instead they will have access to an offering that many of them are familiar with, and now much closer to home.”

Vox Cinemas is set to open 110 screens in the kingdom by the end of 2019, including its first in Tabuk and additional multiplexes in Riyadh and Jeddah. With the new West Avenue Mall launch, it now offers movie fans a total of 53 screens across Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
