Middle East giant operator Majid Al Futtaim, with Vox Cinemas and Magic Planet FECs in its portfolio, has opened its first hybrid cinema and entertainment centre in Wafi City, Dubai.
Inside the two floors of the venue the Vox Cinema and the Magic Planet are integrated. The cinema, a multiplex with 15 screens, has the first Samsung Onyx screen in the UAE.
Ignace Lahoud, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas and Majid Al Futtaim Leisure and Entertainment, said: “The Wafi Group shares our vision for creating remarkable destinations and passion for excellence, to open our first hybrid cinema and FEC in the UAE.
“Vox Cinemas and Magic Planet at Wafi City have been designated as an holistic concept seamlessly integrating two recreational functions into one enriched experience.”
Vox now has 22 cinemas and 237 screens across the UAE. It is now planning three multiplex openings across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain later this month.
