Hitting the headlines this week is Jackson’s Amusements of Mablethorpe, UK, which reached the 100-year milestone and found its story in several local media reports and even the BBC regional news.

The family-run arcade is on the resort’s seafront and is home to Gareth Cammack, who took over from his father Peter, who inherited the location from his father, Bill, who was married to Audrey Jackson whose father, Billy, founded the company in 1925.

Jackson’s survived many crises, including the 1953 storm, the flooding from which wrecked the arcade and the business had to be rebuilt.

Gareth and his wife Kim (they have two daughters) bought the Mablethorpe land train in 2013 and then added a "sand train" to run along the beach and later a toy shop.
