The purchase comprises a portfolio of four adult gaming centres and one bingo venue based in Ashton under Lyne, Crewe, Northwich and Chester. A number of freehold properties have also been included as part of the deal.

According to Novomatic UK, the businesses have traded successfully for many years and fit well with Luxury Leisure’s ongoing expansion plans.

Tom Allison (pictured), managing director of Luxury Leisure, said: "We are delighted to acquire these prestigious gaming venues from Brian Newton. These high quality businesses are a good match for Luxury Leisure and form part of our ongoing strategy of expansion in the UK market."

Novomatic CEO Zane Mersich welcomed the addition of the new locations, saying: “When we first purchased Luxury Leisure (then Nobles) our stated aim was to grow the business, add value and, in turn, raise standards. This latest acquisition is firmly in line with that strategy and will give the Luxury Leisure operation an even higher profile in the north west of the UK.

“These are very successful locations in prime retail areas and, as such, will play an important role in our plans to continually expand and improve the business.”

Luxury Leisure plans to re-brand each of its trading locations as Admiral in 2016, adapting Novomatic’s core retail brand for the UK market.
