The Lucky Snake is located on the famous Boardwalk. The new arcade and family entertainment complex occupies the former casino floor at the Showboat, reports NJ.com.

It has been built by Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein, CEO of Tower Investments. He held a VIP opening at the weekend for the $7m venue that also includes a sports bar with a boxing ring, e-sports gaming area, live entertainment and a "speakeasy."

Blatstein was joined for the ribbon-cutting at the entrance by the mayor of Atlantic City Marty Small Snr (see photo).

The sports bar covers 25,000sq.ft. The arcade covers 100,000sq.ft and is rich with memorabilia as some of the games in action date back to the 1970s, including Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong and Star Wars. It also houses the world’s largest crane game, occupying a floor-to-ceiling spot. There is also mini-golf and duckpin bowling.

Blatstein is now planning to develop a $100m water park adjacent to the property.
