Lane7, the Newcastle, UK based operator of boutique bowling alleys, is set to open its latest venue in Birmingham.

The newest in its chain of four locations, the Midlands-based venue will offer nine state-of-the-art bowling lanes, split into three different sections on the ground level of a former nightclub building. A private karaoke booth, pool tables and beer pong tables will also feature.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Tim Wilks, founder of Lane7, said: “We’ve seen loads of interest since we announced we would be coming to the Midlands, so we knew we had to make this site special.
“Unfortunately, we’ve been brainwashed for the last 20 years into thinking bowling is about plastic seats and plastic hot dogs in the dreary retail park.
"Lane7 is bringing the glamour back into bowling in the heart of Birmingham city nightlife.
“The arcades, karaoke, beer and ping-pong have been a huge hit in some of our other sites and it’s also great to be able to bring a brand-new feature in shuffleboard which we think Birmingham will love.”
Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Aberdeen already boast Lane7 locations and further openings are planned for Liverpool, Durham, Sheffield and Glasgow over the next 18 months.
