UK-based bookmaker Ladbrokes has launched its first product in China in co-operation with the Hunan Sports Lottery.

Through its AGT joint venture with Hong Kong-based lottery services company AGTech, the Lucky Racing game will be available in sports lottery outlets throughout the Chinese province of Hunan.

The platform and game has been developed by Ladbrokes’ joint venture AGT in association with interactive betting and gaming specialists OpenBet and Inspired Gaming.

The game was approved by the PRC lottery regulator earlier this year and has been successfully operating in a small number of shops since June. The product launches in 1,000 shops throughout Hunan this week. The game is a sports-themed electronic random number generated lottery game where customers can choose to wager on a virtual car race between 12 cars over two laps of an oval track.

Commenting on the launch Ladbrokes’ director of corporate and strategic development Adam Greenblatt said: “This is a small but positive step in a key gambling market. We are pleased to have launched our first product - the result of many years of relationship building in China."
