The Little Tokyo shopping centre in Los Angeles, US, is seeking approval to add a new entertainment hub featuring a multitude of entertainment facilities.
The amusement location would cover 50,000sq.ft and include a 24-lane bowling alley, sports bar, family restaurant, amusement arcade and an area for billiards. The mall’s owners, Three Alameda Plaza, would handle all of the operations in-house, but the vision is "a Lucky Strike and Dave and Buster’s combined into one," Jay Chun, president of property manager Kaufman Commercial Group, told local press.
The 250,000sq.ft mall has undergone a series of changes since it was purchased by the current owners in 2008. The most significant change was the replacement of the Japanese grocer Mitsuwa Marketplace with the Korean chain Woori Market. The owners hope to secure city approvals in time to open the new operations by summer 2012.
