Design work has begun on a new children’s adventure play area at Raby Castle, County Durham, England.
It is part of a larger project, The Rising, that will hopefully attract new visitors to the area.
The playground will feature a boardwalk through the castle’s Christmas tree plantation, opening up a new part of the grounds.
It will include three-storey play towers, overhead walkways, tunnels and climbing walls, with play trails and slides, reports the Durham Magazine.
A café is also planned for the site, which is part of a larger project to restore and renovate some of the historical buildings.
