Following a year of growth, KCC, the Belgium-based designer of amusement sites, is expanding its workforce and is looking for staff to fill positions in virtually every section of the business.

KCC expanding

“It’s in every field, including sales, even in director level positions and the design department. We’re looking for good people to expand the whole business,” said business development manager Reinhart Viane.

Before the end of the year, three amusement parks the company has designed will have opened in China alone, with others opening in Latvia and Russia. One of these projects is China’s first Smurfs Theme Park, set to open in Shanghai later this year.

The family-oriented theme park will have both an indoor and an outdoor area, each approximately 10,000sq.m. The project includes four themed zones: The Forest, Smurfs Village, Gargamel’s House and The Outdoors. Inside the park will be over 20 themed attractions and experiences. Guests will have fun on the Smurfs Berry Coaster, the AR Gargamel Experience, Smurf Golf and more.

On the back of this success, KCC is heading to Paris, France, for IAAPA Expo Europe in September, looking forward to meeting new clients.
