The town of Nausori is now home to Go Karts Fiji, the first attraction of its kind in the country.
The venue has 10 full-sized go karts and a 400m track.
Go Karts Fiji owners Elvin Pillay and his father-in-law Kamal Singh, told fijitimes.com that they got the idea at a family get-together with Mr Pillay’s passion for anything with an engine blending with Mr Singh’s desire for a new start after retirement.
Mr Pillay spoke of the need for young people in the area to have more options for recreational activities to draw them into hobbies outside of pubs and clubs.
Go Karts Fiji, which bills itself on its website as a "family focused recreation facility", is now open, and can be found in the town of Nausori, near Suva.
