Go-karting operator K1 Speed has acquired a new FEC in California, US.
Speed Circuit Family Fun Center, located in Chula Vista, has been bought by the operator and is now named K1 Speed Chula Vista.
It joins the company’s other locations in Carlsbad and San Diego to become the third location in San Diego County and the 17th across California. K1 Speed currently has 86 karting locations open or in development around the world.
In addition to the go karts, the centre also offers two private event spaces, while K1 Speed is set to add an arcade with video games, prize machines, pool tables and air hockey.
Susan Danglard, co-founder and director of marketing at K1 Speed, said: “We are thrilled to open another location in San Diego County.
“We've called this area home for over 20 years, so it's an honour to reinvest in the community and make K1 Speed even more accessible to the residents in the area.”
