The annual operators’ trade event, JAPEO, has been called off as a result of the pandemic.

The Japan Amusement Expo 2021 was due to be held February 5-6 at the Maukuahri Messe in the Tokyo outskirts but the trade association has decided to call off the event because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It reports that in addition to the risk to the health of exhibitors and visitors, the effects of the pandemic on manufacturers and suppliers in the first half of this year means that few will have new machines to see.
Now the association plans to hold a virtual event instead. No details have yet been released but the decision was taken by the Japan Amusement Industry Association at its last meeting.
