Italy has closed all of its theme parks as it fights a fresh surge in Covid-19 infection.

The shutdown will last four weeks until November 24 under the direction of the Italian government. Major park Gardaland issued a statement saying that it would now conclude immediately its 2020 season. Its Sea Life Aquarium and hotels are also closing, said the park.
Also closing are Mirabilandia and CanevaWorld Resort as well as Cinecittà World, although the latter hopes to reopen on November 24.
At the same time, the huge PortAventura World, near Barcelona in Spain, has been closed from October 16 to tomorrow, October 30.
