Operator IOA Group, in the UK, has adopted Help for Heroes as its first corporate charity.
The decision to adopt a charity was taken at the IOA’s autumn meeting with members subsequently agreeing to put their fund-raising efforts behind what has become one of the UK’s highest profile and most successful fund-raising organisations. Help for Heroes provides capped grants to those best able to deliver facilities and services that are required to servicemen and women wounded in the services to the UK.
It is involved in a number of large cap-ex projects, including the funding of a rehabilitation complex at Headly Court, a post-traumatic stress treatment centre at Leatherhead and a relatives house at Selly Oak.
