Multi-channel gaming operator Interwetten has reported strong performance for the second quarter of 2016, boosting half-yearly gross gaming revenues by 29 per cent to €32.8m (Q2: €16.m).

Revenues during Euro 2016 climbed 35 per cent compared to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, despite there being fewer matches.
Compared to the same period in 2014, sportsbook revenues climbed 93 per cent while revenues from casino and games were up 40 per cent.
In the first half of 2016, EBITDA was up 13 per cent to €6.7m, with net profit rising by 13 per cent to €5.7m.
Spokesman for the Interwetten board, Werner Becher, said: “Having increased our marketing spend before and during Euro 2016, we managed to increase our profits at the same time.
“For anyone managing a company, there is no better proof of strategic success in terms of team and product performance.”
Mobile channels contribute 63 per cent to sportsbook revenue and 46 per cent to gaming revenues in June. Currently, Interwetten offers its customers more than 800 games on desktop and 400 mobile titles.
