Intercard has completed its 13th installation of its debit card technology at a Brunswick Bowling and Billiard location in the US.
Other recent installations include Laserdome, Main Event, where Intercard’s system was installed and up and running within 24 hours. In addition, every one of Intercard’s iReaders was installed with a customised background display.
At Brunswick Bowling and Billiards, Intercard installed a system featuring a centralised database. This means that the debit card may be used in any of Brunswick’s locations which utilise Intercard’s centralised cash management system, including Brunswick’s four locations in Chicago.
According to Scott Sherrod, president of Intercard: "Additionally, Main Event’s prepaid cards can now be purchased or reloaded via Main Event’s website, allowing customers to load up their prepaid debit cards for use on games/attractions and to purchase food at any of its locations. This is only possible because of Intercard’s cloud architecture that links all Main Event’s sites so that one card can be used at all of its locations. Children can now be dropped off at a Main Event location without cash, offering a form of parental control, because the parent now knows what was purchased and how much was spent via Main Event’s website."
