Semnox Solutions has successfully enabled Dubai-based operator Landmark Leisure’s Fun City family entertainment centres to migrate to cashless RFID systems at its outlets across India.

The brand has made the switch from its existing card system to Semnox’s which functions on a ‘tap-to-play’ model. Starting with a pilot at Fun City, Alpha One Mall, Ahmedabad, the whole process has now been completed. Landmark decided to go ahead with the pan-India migration after a detailed study of system capabilities.

Primarily catering to children aged up to 12 years old, Fun City offers a variety of rides and games and currently operates 28 centres across India while continuing to expand. Established in 1998, it is one of the most recognised and popular brands of FEC across India, the Middle East and Egypt.

Semnox’s Lumin readers can now be seen at Fun City outlets across India. Distinguished by their illuminated surface and the capability of generating colour patterns, the readers are designed to be suitable for profiling games. Using them, customers can differentiate between games that offer tickets and those that don’t. Promotions can also be linked to Lumin patterns making it easy for customers to pick out games and rides that come under certain promotions.

Fun City has also opted for the cloud-based management solution from Semnox. With this, centralised corporate management of all stores is now possible along with the ability for new products, redemption items, promotions and offers to be set up centrally and pushed to all or selective stores.

A card roaming feature allows customers to purchase cards at any store and use them in any Fun City outlet. The chain is also exploring the integrated campaign and SMS module through which it is possible to send welcome, promotion and alert messages to registered customers
